2024 Ford Explorer

The 2024 Ford Explorer is a mid-size SUV manufactured by Ford Motor Company. Released for the 2024 model year, it represents the sixth generation of the long-running Explorer nameplate. The new Explorer retains a truck-based body-on-frame construction but moves to Ford's new T6 platform shared with the redesigned 2023 F-150 pickup. It is offered with two gasoline engine options - a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 and a 3.5L EcoBoost V6. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with an available four-wheel drive system. Design highlights include a larger, more upright grille, updated lighting elements, and revised exterior styling compared to the previous generation. The interior features updated technology like Ford's latest SYNC 4 infotainment system and increased passenger space aided by the new platform.
